Preventing Hazardous Waste

Preventing Hazardous Waste One Computer At A Time!

Please don’t let this happen to our landfills! If you have a computer or computer equipment that you believe is beyond repair or is too old to be useful we recommend calling us or filling out this form and we will come pick it up so the computer can be properly dismantled to obtain all usable parts for refurbished machines as well as the other materials and then properly disposed of the parts that can not be re-used. If you have a good computer that is just out dated or that you may replaced with a newer model you may want to consider donating the computer instead of dismantling or recycling it.

Many computer manufacturers and computer hardware manufactures also have their own recycling or trade in programs. Below is a list of some of the major manufactures and links to their recycling programs.

Apple Recycling Program

Dell Recycling Program

HP Recycling Program

IBM/Lenovo Recycling Program

Since living and working in Summit County for over 17 years, I have seen all kind of things that would upset you as to the way that people dispose of their computers. I found a computer tower that was burned to a crisp in the parking lot of our national forest. Not only was this bad for the environment but now someone was going to have to expose themselves to poisonous metals to clean it up! That is why I am committed to becoming an environmental leader in the computer recycling industry. Our recycling policy is key to our efforts in achieving results in protecting the environment across Summit County and the world!

After being in the business for over 15 years, I closed the doors to my IT consulting business in order to provide all of the surrounding counties a means to dispose of used and broken computer equipment. Having been in the Computer/IT business for over 15 years, I know how to dismantle all computer equipment safely and efficiently so that you don’t have to. Remember that the inside of all computers have sharp edges which can create severe wounds! If you are not equipped to dismantle a computer properly then you might be causing more of a danger to yourself and family than you realize. Small pieces of lead, mercury and many other toxic metals can be transferred to your hands, cloths and anything around you if all the proper measures are not taken. We provide a safe environment for the computer dismantling to occur so that this kind of contamination does not happen!
